I totally agree with this quote. I hate the fact that smoking looks so cool and chic in pictures. It does not in reality.

Inspiration on a budget

Do you do this to? Cut out every inspiring, good looking picture and glue it in your very special My Favorite Things book? 

I recently started after thinking about it for years. All these magazines you buy and throw away because, after a lot of dwelling, you realize you don't have room for it. It's so much better to collect the best of them and take care of it until you are as low as a furniturista can be and need to seek low budget inspiration. 

Home offices to the people!

I had a really productive day yesterday. After work I went to Ikea to get a few very important things. I've been thinking about my little home office the last week but I didn't really plan to do anything about it yet. But there I was, at Ikea, and it was so easy to give it a go.

On the bus on my way home I decided I would definitely wait for the weekend before hanging up everything but when I came home I sort of grabbed the drill without thinking. An hour later I was done.

My "office" went from total chaos and boredom to the complete opposite. I still have a few things left to do like painting the wall and hanging up more pictures but it will be great at the end.

So why am I sitting in my sofa blogging right now? It beats me.

Wish list from Bolia

During Christmas a new Bolia store opened up on my block. I didn't really know much about it but I quickly decided, because of my interior addiction, I should not enter. It lasted until a friend of mine told me she was going and wondered if I would be interested in joining her. But, of course!

We ended up being kicked out at closing time looking at the entrance door with tears in our eyes. I was back to days later and bought tea towels. Who know towels could stir up such emotions. (I'll show them to you tomorrow, the tea towels I mean)

This is what I could find online (unfortunately or fortunately they have much more stuff in store) to put on my Bolia wish list. 

Too much wall space but too little space

As I've previously mentioned I have a long lasting crush on vinyl. I love how it is fragile yet durable, the little noises it makes when you're playing them and how you have to physically get the record, spend some time with it and do the work it takes to put it on (all though this is what I hate about vinyl as well). It is a great contrast to Spotify where everything is a click away. Spotify is too much. I can't decide. I end up just watching my computer screen. 

To me, the pieces came together when I found these ultra-cool and -smart vinyl frames. Your first thought is probably: "But you're supposed to listen to the music, not watch it. How is that possible when  it is hanging on the wall?!"

I'll show you how.

Tada! You just lift it slightly and off it goes. It is genius. This way it is extremely easy to listen to the records in the frame (it is actually easier than listening to the rest because you can even find these records) and it is easy to change the pictures on your wall. 

Otherwise this is how I store my vinyl. In a box that once was used to store dynamite.

Global chic
